Andy Parker BSc
Andy Parker has a career in electronics with a large British manufacturer.
He is currently involved with Space Imaging for high profile astronomy and extra-terrestrial projects. He is a member of the Church of England and a volunteer chaplain at his local prison.
Andy also organises mission trips to work with house churches in India, and leads a chapter of the Full Gospel Businessmen in his home city of Chelmsford.
Andy serves as our Board Chairman.
Paul Roberton MIAB AIAAP
Retired City Bank Manager; worked in corporate domestic and international banking. Four grown up daughters and six grandchildren. Committed Christian with over 37 years experience as a treasurer and trustee in Christian Charitable work.
As a young Christian, worked on a voluntary basis with 'Life for the World' reaching out to drug addicts and the homeless in central London. He is now involved with his church as treasurer, and in local outreach, taking church services in three Care Homes.
Paul also has experience in Lay Preaching and has been on a number of missions to Kolkata, India.
Originally from E. Anglia and a Christian from his late teens, Trevor worked briefly in industry and God then enabled him to attend Cliff College. His heart for mission from the early 70’s engaging in evangelism through film, video and big screen projection spanned many years working under other Charities.
He has also worked in ‘customer services’ with Bradford Council and gained experience for a few years as Court Clerk with the Civil Service.
Trevor brings to OOA his experience as a serving Elder both in Bradford (Church on the Way) where he currently lives but also for ten years in Poland engaging in mission, church leadership and ‘teaching English’. ‘Administration’ is where his primary gifting is having helped organise conferences and special events.
In recent years he has teamed up with OOA and Peter on mission trips to Poland supporting with worship, singing and a little Polish!
Matthew Lane Grad IOSH
Matthew, as a young Christian in the 80’s, joined the Royal Corp of Transport & Royal Logistics Corp (British Army) during which he reached the Rank of Warrant Officer Class 1. Over that 24 year period many of his leadership, communication and life skills were honed.
A career then followed in the ‘railway industry’ as a Workforce Track Safety Trainer where he developed skills at Health & Safety Management level for Network Rail leading to many ‘key roles’ including Head of Route Safety, Health & Environment for Wales. He was also Lead Safety Manager with GWR.
Health issues currently see him in a lesser though important role in Customer Service at a Main Line Railway Station.
Matthew has a passion for outreach to men and sharing life experiences. Married to Kathy in 1990 they have a grown-up daughter and son.
Kathryn Tola Awe - Cunningham ACCA
Tola is a family oriented Certified Chartered Accountant, mother of 3 sons and a grandson.
She took ‘early retirement’ after working and studying for 40 years having latterly been Head of Finance and Deputy CEO with a Charity in Leeds for 15 years prior to retiring in 2019.
Her voluntary work over the years has included being Director and Trustee, Chair, Treasurer and Secretary for 6 charities two of which are registered charitable companies limited by guarantee.
Tola grew up as a Christian and continues to serve, worship and praise the Lord in a Pentecostal church in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
Kathy Lane has supported OOTA for many years now. In the past she has been out on mission with Peter and a team in Poland, and has supported him in church visits and prison evangelism.
Kathy has been a born again Christian for many, many years and prayer is a really important part of her daily walk.
Kathy went to Moorlands Bible College 2013-2016, and has a BA in Applied Theology with family and community studies.
‘While at college God showed me I could preach. Over the years I have served in the church, not only preaching but as a family’s worker, leading small groups and meetings, and heading up a holiday club for children. I have also served in worship teams and prayer ministry teams over the years.
