Out of Ashes Ministries is a registered charity that supports vulnerable and marginalised people including victims of crime,  prisoners, addicts and people who have become dysfunctional through various trauma experiences.

The founder Peter Gladwin is a former Hampshire Probation Service Officer with years of experience working in Tough Communities, Drug Rehabs, HMP Prisons and Crown Court Services. 

He's the author of Out of the Ashes, an inspirational book about his extraordinary life. His life is special both because Peter has suffered more misfortune than most people could imagine. However he has succeeded in transforming his pain into an inspirational story and ministry which above all affirms the strong faith that he has in God.

Peter was barely one when a domestic fire left him horribly burned and psycologically scarred. The third of nine children, he was raised on a rough council estate in Halifax West Yorkshire. Peter was always in trouble with the police, in and out of care homes, spending his time on the streets. Then he was stabbed and effectively lost the use of his right arm. Every relationship failed. For years Peter took refuge in gambling, drinking and drugs. Then at the age of 24 Peter was the victim of an hit and run. Would anything go right for him?
